Online Learning Platform Implementation

Transforming a manual webinar certification process into an integrated, on-demand Learning Center

The Challenge

An established educational webinar program had accumulated more than 40 recorded sessions, but its process for providing on-demand continuing education was largely manual. Recordings were stored separately, learners received video links after registering, and participation was verified through screenshots submitted by email before certificates were issued.

As the webinar library continued to grow, the organization needed a more reliable and scalable way to deliver recorded education, verify participation, assess learning, and provide continuing education certificates.

My Role

I identified an integrated learning platform as a potential solution, recommended it to the program's work group, and presented the proposal to organizational leadership for approval. Once approved, I took ownership of the implementation.

I learned the new platform, worked directly with vendor support to resolve technical and configuration questions, and built the Learning Center from the ground up. I prepared the initial library of 44 webinars for on-demand learning, editing each recording in Adobe Premiere to remove live-event housekeeping, outdated references, speaking errors, and technical issues. I also developed branded introductions and informational segments explaining continuing education requirements and the assessment process.

For each lesson, I configured the course information, video, assessment, continuing education credits, and certificate process. The platform tracks viewing progress and requires learners to watch at least 70% of the recording before the assessment becomes available. Learners must then correctly answer at least three of four questions to pass, after which they automatically receive a customized certificate reflecting the appropriate continuing education credit.

The Result

The Learning Center launched in 2024 and has grown from its original 44 recorded webinars to more than 90 on-demand lessons. It now serves 997 registered users and has generated 5,089 continuing education certificates.

What began as a manual process involving video links, screenshots, emails, and individual certificate fulfillment is now an integrated learning experience with built-in participation requirements, assessments, and automated certification.

I continue to independently manage the entire production workflow for new recorded webinars—from video editing and preparation through lesson setup, assessment configuration, continuing education information, and publication.
